Oceans Research as a factor of cientific and economic progress
In 1987, the board comitee started the Institute activities with an international seminar on the cycle "Cientific Knowledge and Development".
The seminar “Oceans Research as a factor of cientific and economic progress", took place at the Casa de Mateus and at the UTAD, between 19 and 23 October, 1987. The inaugural session was presented by the Universities Secretary of State.
